There are many things that can make a person feel nauseated or vomit. Common causes include: side effects from drugs; after chemotherapy; Intra/postoperative ; food poisoning; viral infections; fear or other strong emotions; early pregnancy; motion sickness, such as being seasick or carsick; chemical toxins in the environment; gallbladder disease; intense pain; or migraine headache etc.

How does acupuncture work for Nausea and Vomiting?

Acupuncture has been regarded as one of the most promising methods. In December 2013, a review of articles and meta-analysis of acupuncture efficacy was published in a prestigious periodical Public Library of Sciences. In the meta-analysis 30 randomized, control clinical groups have been studied (1276 patients in studied groups and 1258 in control groups). In the result of conducted statistical analysis, acupuncture was proved as an efficient, safe and economically wise method of prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. Acupuncture is pretty effective treatment method for every cause mentioned above too.

Course of treatment

There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
