Acupuncture improves blood flow and lessens inflammation at the site of the stroke and stimulates new nerve connections to allow the brain to “re-wire” itself.

Many studies and clinical research confirm the excellent efficacy of acupuncture against symptoms of vomiting and nausea, fatigue, hair loss, pain and condition of leukopenia, xerostomia(dry eyes and dry mouth) induced by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Also acupuncture has sedative and hypnotic effective for chemotherapy- or/and radiation therapy- induced insomnia, nervousness and anxiety.

Acupuncture improves immune function--these are the cells that ultimately destroy cancer cells. Acupuncture decreases stress response (both emotional & physical), this allows the body to work more efficiently and improve quality of life. Acupuncture strengthens liver function--this help lower the overall toxicity level. And significantly increase white blood cell count to help cancer patients to complete the course of chemo or radio therapy, as well as improving energy & vitality.

Course of treatment

There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
