Acupuncture for Abdominal Pain

The abdominal pain related to indigestion, gastroenteritis or gastrointestinal spasm, urinary obstructions, liver and gallbladder disorders and gynecological condition etc. Abdominal pain is one of the categories people complained about.

How does acupuncture work for Abdominal Pain?

Acupuncture is effective in treating abdominal pain which is recommended by World Health Organization (WHO). Furthermore, based on a study published in the Journal of Chinese Medicine, acupuncture has been shown to provide overwhelmingly effective in relief for abdominal pain, the effect rate as high as 95.12%. The study found acupuncture promotes digestion, moves the energy to prevent constipation, and other factors that might cause pain.

Course of treatment

There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
