Acupuncture for Seizure (Epilepsy)

Acupuncture for Seizure (Epilepsy)

Acupuncture helps control seizures. Studies in China have shown acupuncture to be a safe, reliable way to reduce or lower seizure activity. One German study involved 98 people with epilepsy, 65 people showed marked improvements with an absence of seizures during a one-year period without drugs. Acupuncture knows no age limit. Children – even babies – can benefit from acupuncture treatments.

How does acupuncture work for Seizure?

Acupuncture decreases or blocks abnormal neuronal electric discharge (epileptic discharge) which causes an imbalance of brain function (seizure).

Acupuncture balances the internal environment to control the predisposing cause of seizures, It stabilizes brain function and regulates the functioning of the endocrine, gastrointestinal, respiratory, nerve and other systems. Restores the balance between the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual, helps relieve stress, poor sleep, anxiety, depression which related to epilepsy.

Course of treatment

There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
