Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic) Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in China over 4 thousand years ago. It is not only beneficial for treating and preventing disease, but also for rejuvenation. Chinese emperors long ago used facial acupuncture to erase signs of aging. Today, Hollywood stars utilize it for the removal of wrinkles. Research conducted by the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture on 300 people found facial acupuncture to be effective –90% of patients saw results after one treatment.

Testimonial

Dr. Kong has been my acupuncturist for a little over a year. My sessions have been for balancing my weak immune system, hormones, cholesterol and heart. The results have been extremely successful. Now we’re working on a facelift! I am 60 years old and people think I’m 40. Dr. Kong maintains a very clean and efficient office. She is compassionate, kind, and professional. I am very happy to have found her.

How does acupuncture work for Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic)?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (FRA, also called non surgical face lifting) is an anti-aging, safe, painless and effective treatment for renewing the face and neck, as well as the whole body, mind and spirit, because the acupuncture meridians run throughout the body and over its surface. Fine needles stimulate the body’s natural energies to increase blood flow to the face and neck, to irrigate and nourish the tissues and muscle groups, and to help improve collagen production and muscle tone.

Benefits of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Improves frown lines; reduces wrinkles; lifts droopy eye lids; erases fine lines; softens scars; brightens the eyes; reduces sagging around the neck; tightens pores; improves hormone balance; increases blood, energy and lymph circulation; leaves you feeling refreshed, relaxed & rejuvenated. Simultaneously, it improves the underlying conditions that lead to wrinkling.

Course of treatment

The treatment protocol is a minimum of 10 one-hour-sessions, twice weekly, for 5 weeks.

Please note the treatment required for the neck is separated from the face. It consists of a minimum of 10 independent one-hour-sessions, twice weekly, for 5 weeks.

Since the skin (epidermis) completely renews itself every 30 days, a once a month session is recommended for maintenance & for optimal results.

Cosmetic acupuncture is different from regular acupuncture (i.e. body acupuncture). It uses very fine facial needles and take longer clinical time to manipulate, so the fee is more than regular acupuncture. We also provide extra services for facial rejuvenation with facial message & facial mask at additional cost.

Limitations

The procedure should be avoided during pregnancy; or severe cold/flu. High blood pressure or severe migraines should be controlled with regular acupuncture treatments before starting the Acupuncture.
